Timer Rates give you the ability to set up as many rates as you need to correctly calculate cost and charge clients based on the function and/or user completing it.


Creating a New Timer Rate

Step    Action

  1.      Select {Settings} and then select {Timers} under Dockets.

  2.      Select {New} under Rates. A New Timer Rate modal window will open.


  3.      Complete the fields.

Description
Name

Enter a name for the New Timer Rate

This will be how you identify the rate when adding it to a timer.

Type


Select a Type from drop-down.

Options are Graphic, Press, Finishing, Outsourced or Cutting.
Price


Enter the Hourly Price.

This is the price you will charge your customer if Override Price is set to Yes.

Cost

Enter the hourly cost.

This can be your employee's wage or the burden rate.

Override Cost

Switch default set to No.

This determines if you will by default apply this timer to the cost of an order item.  It can be changed at order item level.

Override Price


Switch default set to No.

This determines if you will by default apply this timer to the price of an order item.  It can be changed at order item level.
Minimum Time

Enter the minimum time in minutes.

This is the minimum time to be charged and will depend on Minimum Type selected.

Minimum Type


Default set to Per Timer.

Decide if you want the minimum applied Per Timer or Per Record
i.e. if the minimum time is set to 15 min and John runs a timer 3 times, one for 2 mins, one for 3 minutes and one for 4 minutes for a total of 9 minutes, Per Timer will charge 15 minutes, and Per Record will charge 45 min.

Is Taxable

Switch default set to No.

This determines that the price should be included in the taxable total if Override Price is set to Yes.

Is Commissionable


Switch default set to No.

This determines that the price should be included in the commissionable total if Override Price is set to Yes.

GL Revenue Account
Select a GL Revenue Account from drop-down.

 

  4.      Select {Save}. A results window will pop up to indicate the rate type has been

           successfully saved.
