Presses - Adding a New Digital Press

 Step     Action

  1.       Select {Settings} and then select {Press} under Dockets.

  2.       Select {New} under Press. A New Press page will open.


  3.       Complete the Configuration fields.

Enter Name of press.
Select a Group from the drop-down menu.
Note: These options can be modified. (See General-Group)
Select a Digital Format from the drop-down menu.
Digital Color Type
Select a Digital Color Type from the from the drop-down menu.
Run Cost Per Hour

If you want to track the cost for your Press Operator to run this, just enter in the hourly wage. However, If you want to keep track of all of your costs (eg. wage, press and hydro), then enter the total of all these costs.

Setup Time
Enter how long it takes to setup up the press and do a wash up.
Minimum Width Enter the Minimum Width the press  will accept.
Minimum Length Enter the Minimum Length the press will accept.
Maximum Width Enter the Maximum Width the press will accept.
Maximum Length Enter the Maximum Length the press will accept.

Enter any additional notes regarding the press, if applicable.
GL Revenue Account

Select an account option from the drop-down that you would like the price of the Press posted to.


Note: These options can be modified. (See Accounting-GL Revenue Account)

  4.       Select {Save}. The page will now show the name of the new press.


  5.      Select X to close pop up results window. Production and Pricing can also be 

           added before leaving this page.


             Note: The option to add additional press information will be available once the
 information has been saved and the edit press page generated.
