Product Access on Portals

  • Settings > Online Ordering > Products
  • Click on Product Number 10381
  • Enable Edit Mode
  • Click on the Online tab
  • Scroll down to Access > Portals and choose Charcoal Studio
  • Click Save



View Product on Charcoal Studio Portal

  • Right Click on Settings
  • Open in Link in New Tab (keep the product open in the first tab)
  • Settings > Online Ordering > Online Configuration > Portals 
  • Click on URL icon to the right of Charcoal Studio


Click on Products in the Navigation Menu on the left side of the portal. Your product should appear as W2P Business Card 4/4. We can now start to customize the options that are available at the Product level.



Product Customization

  • Click on the browser tab to view the Product Item (keep the portal tab open).
  • Scroll to the top of the page (you should still be on the Online tab of the Product).

Product Catalogs

Product Catalogs allow you to organize Products on a portal. 

  • Choose Business Cards from the Product Path 1 drop down.
  • Click Save
  • Switch browser tabs to view the Portal.
  • Refresh the Portal browser tab.

Your Product will now be located within the Business Card Product Catalog.

  • Click on the Product Catalog to view the Products that are organized within this catalog.


Product Catalogs can be managed in Settings > Online Ordering > Online Configuration > Product Catalogs.


Order Due Options

Allow the end user to choose from one or multiple Order Due Options when ordering this Product.

  • Select one or multiple Order Due Options
  • Click Save
  • Switch browser tabs to view the Portal.
  • Refresh the Portal browser tab.


If there are no Order Due Options selected then all of the options will be available to the end user.

Order Due Options can be managed in Settings > Dockets > Order Options > Order Due Options.


External Identifier / Meta Description and Keywords

These fields provide added functionality but are not required fields.

  • External Identifier is used to push orders from another W2P system into DocketManager.
  • Meta Description and Keywords are tools for SEO in a B2C environment.

Online Message

The Online Message editor allows you to display additional information about your Product offering.

  • Enter some text into the Online Message editor.
  • Click Save
  • Switch browser tabs to view the Portal.
  • Refresh the Portal browser tab.

Public

This setting dictates which Contacts have access to this Product on the Portal.

  • Toggle - Yes = Anyone contact with access to the Portal will be able to see this product.
  • Toggle - No = Only specific contacts are granted access to this product.


Scroll down to Access in the Online tab of the Product and you will see Excluded Contacts when the Public toggle is set to Yes and Contacts when the toggle is set to No. This allows you to grant access to specific Contacts or allow access to all contacts minus those marked as excluded.


Can Specify Quantity

Certain products are offered with set quantities such as business cards (250, 500, 1000) while others may be offered at any quantity. The Can Specify Qty toggle allows you to control quantity options per Product. 

  • Toggle - Yes = The Quantity field on the portal becomes a freeform field that the user can enter in any quantity. A minimum and maximum field is presented when the toggle is set to Yes.
  • Toggle - No = The Quantity options will be restricted to the quantities that are present in the Pricing tab of the Product.

Allow File Upload

This toggle allows the client to upload an art file, mailing list, etc that is specific to this Product.

  • Toggle to Yes
  • Click Save
  • Switch browser tabs to view the Portal.
  • Refresh the Portal browser tab.


Any uploaded files will be attached to the order item that is automatically added to the order created in your DocketManager MIS.


Product Pricing

Press Pricing is the sum of Stock, Press, Department Item, and Outsource prices. Product Pricing is an override of this pricing structure.

  • Navigate to the Pricing tab of your Product.
  • In the Calculate By drop down select Product Pricing.
  • Navigate back to the Online tab.
  • Under Quantity Calculation Options select Quantity.
  • Scale Selection Type allows for a curve between pricing levels or a hard step with no incremental change.
  • Under Pricing Quantities click New.
  • Add a Quantity Up To and either a Total Price or Price Per Piece then Save or Save and Add New.
  • Click Save
  • Switch browser tabs to view the Portal.
  • Refresh the Portal browser tab.


When you select Product Pricing under Calculate By the price for the product should be zero. If the product is not pricing out at zero, go to the Stock tab and make sure Add to Price is toggled to No for the stock.


Product Attributes

Product Attributes allow you to present multiple Stock or Finishing options within one product.

  • Click Add Attribute List
  • Enter a Name, this will be the prompt that your client sees on the portal.
  • Under Type select Stock.
  • This Attribute List can be marked as Required - Yes or No.
  • Under Attributes click New.
  • Your Stock list will appear, add the Stocks that you would like to offer.
  • If you would like the Stock choices to add to the price if the product then toggle Add To Price to Yes.
  • Click Save
  • Save the Product.
  • Switch browser tabs to view the Portal.
  • Refresh the Portal browser tab.


Product Attributes can be created using Stock or Department Items.


Additional Fields

If you would like to offer more customization options for the end user, additional fields can be presented online.

  • Click on a Field Name.
  • Toggle Online to Yes.
  • Fill out the provided fields.
  • Click Save
  • Save the Product.
  • Switch browser tabs to view the Portal.
  • Refresh the Portal browser tab.

Variable Template

A Variable Template can be assigned to a Product once they are created later in this training.



Shipping Box

If you plan on using the Shippo integration to offer carrier rates online you will need to assign a Shipping Box to this product.

  • Click New
  • Select a Box.
  • Enter the Quantity Per box.
  • Click Save
  • Enter a Weight, Mass Unit, and Per (Weight - 2 / Mass Units - Lbs / Per - 250)


Additional boxes can be specified for different order quantities.

Shipping Boxes can be managed in Settings > Dockets > Order Options > Shipping > Boxes.


Access 

Here you can assign the Product to one or multiple Portals and also assign Contacts (Public - No) or Exclude Contacts (Public - Yes)
