Cutting

Lift Size

Inventory > Stock > Edit

Cutting is calculated at the Stock level by using a Lift Size, Cut Cost, and Cut Price. Each stock in your system can have different values for these settings but as a general rule cover stocks are set at 250 sheets per lift and text weights are set as 500. This will obviously vary as you move into 14pt and heavier stocks and it also depends on the type of cutter you have in your shop.

Stock Defaults

Settings > Dockets > Stock

Cut Cost, Cut Price, and Lift Size can be preset for any new Stocks that are added to your system. Altering these settings will not update any existing stocks in your system.

Setup and Cut Scales

Settings > Dockets > Cutting

Setup

DocketManager offers you the option to preset Setup Prices for Pre Cuts and Post Cuts.

  • Pre Cut - Parent Sheet trim to Run Size
  • Post Cut - Run Size trim to Flat Size

Cut Scales

Cut Scales allow you to offer a discounted rate of the Cut Price set at the stock level as the number of cuts increases. In the example below the system will charge 90% of the set Cut Price once the Number of Cuts reaches 100.
