Add an Item using the Quick Add feature

  • From the order view page under items, select New > Quick Add.
  • A Quick Add modal window will open.
  • Fill out the necessary fields for the item using the grid below as a guide.
  • Select Save to exit the Quick Add window. Although you cannot navigate back to the Quick Add window all of the fields are available within the item by clicking on the item number and then the edit pencil.


The Quick Add modal window takes all of the fields that are needed to create an order and displays them in one window. Not all fields are required for different types of items.


Quick Add Fields and Descriptions


Field

Description

Name
The customer facing name that appears on documents and within the MIS.
Description
Optional field that can be displayed or hidden on documents and within the MIS.
Job Template

A Job Template can be assigned in the Quick Add window. The information in the Job Template will populate the Quick Add window where adjustments such as Quantity or Size can be made for this specific order item.
Sets
Enter a value for the number of repeat artwork on a job. (i.e. 50 sheets for a pad, 31 sets of 3 part NCR)
Versions
Enter a value for the number of items with the same specifications but different art. (e.g. 2 names for a business card, 2 brochures - 1 English and 1 French)
Statuses
Statuses can be used as visual queues in Production Views or to sort data in the Items list.

To modify Statuses navigate to Settings > Dockets > Order Options > Statuses
Order Due Options
Order Due Options are shortcuts that will automatically adjust the Graphics, Press, Finishing, Shipping, and Item Due Dates based on your selection.

To modify Order Due Options navigate to Settings > Dockets > Order Options > Statuses
Firm Date

If set to yes, this field will be uneditable so that it cannot be recalculated. If set to no, this field will be editable and will recalculate when an order due option is selected.

Time Sensitive

If set to yes, this will display time fields in the due date field. If set to no, only dates can be entered in the due date fields.

Due DatesManually set the item due dates in place of using a preset Order Due Option shown above.
Number of Sides
Select 1 or 2 sided using the toggle.

Single Sided Black/Color Sheets

Enter number of sheets in applicable fields for black/color sheets.

Double Sided Black/Color/Mixed Sheets

Enter number of sheets in applicable fields for black, color, or mixed.

Offset/Web/Perfector

Side 1/2 Inks



Enter number of sheets in applicable fields for black/color sheets.

Wide Format


Wide Format Type

Select Roll, Board, or Both from drop-down menu.

Mode

Select a Mode from the drop-down menu.


Stock
Select + to add Stock.  An Add Stock modal window will open.
Check the box on the left-hand side of stock to be added and select {Add}.
Run Size
Enter the dimensions of the sheet that is being used on the press.
Flat Size
Enter the dimensions of the sheet before folding.

The Run Size and Flat Size work in tandem to create your imposition.
Finish Size
Enter the dimensions of the finished printed work.
On
Enter the number of different images on each sheet.
Sheets 
Enter the number of physical sheets it takes to make one finished piece. This field is directly related to the Flat Size Sheet size and can also be referred to as originals.
Pages
Enter value for the number of Pages in an item (i.e. 20 page booklet is 20 pages)

Note: This value is informational and does not effect price calculations unless it is set as a Department Item Lock To.

Price By Carton

This setting is a default at the Stock level and can be updated in this view using the Toggle.
Outsourced

This setting is a default at the Stock level and can be updated in this view using the Toggle.

Blank Stock
This setting is a default at the Stock level and can be updated in this view using the Toggle. When set to Yes, the stock quote will be calculated based on the blank stock markup scales instead of printed markup scales.

With Bleed

Toggle switch to Yes or No if item is has Bleed.

Department ItemsSelect + to add Department Items.  An Add Department Item modal window will open.

Select the + button next to a department item to add it. Multiple department items can be selected. When complete, select {Add}.

QuantitiesComplete the fields.
Quantity
Enter a value for the Quantity.
Price
Enter a value to override the price, otherwise leave this field blank.
Discount Amount
Select a Discount $ or % amount if applicable.
Select the + to add additional quantities.
