Your DocketManager system comes preloaded with eight portals and seven corresponding themes. We are going to focus on making adjustments to the Charcoal Studio Theme and Portal.
A Theme provides a default for the layout and design of a portal.
A Portal is a specially designed website that serves as the point of access for online retail sales.
To view the Charcoal Studio portal in its present state, navigate to Settings > Online Ordering > Online Configuration > Portals, then click on the URL link to the right of the Charcoal Studio portal.
Charcoal Studio Portal
Below is a breakdown of the different elements that can be customized on the Charcoal Studio portal.
Theme Setup
Navigate to Settings > Online Ordering > Online Configuration > Themes and click on Charcoal Studio. Once you see the image below, click on {Customize this Theme}. This will allow you to edit the theme Header and Footer HTML.
Header HTML
The Header section of the Charcoal Studio theme runs down the left-hand side of the page from top to bottom. The only customization we will be making here is updating the social media links.
In the Header HTML section scroll down to Line 23.
The "#" sign can be replaced with the link to your company's Twitter page address. Facebook is on line 24, LinkedIn on line 25, and Instagram is on line 26.
If you are unsure of your company's social media URLs, you can visit them on the web and copy and paste the URL from the address bar.
If you want to delete one or more of the social links, just delete the entire line of code.
Footer HTML
The Footer HTML section of the Charcoal Studio theme includes:
- Secondary Logo
- Street and Email Addresses
- Phone Numbers
- External Website Link
- Credit Card Images
Secondary Logo
The secondary logo allows you to display a logo or an image next to your company's contact information. You can update this image by replacing "https://support.docketmanager.net/portals/paper-studio/logo2.png" in line 28 with a W2P Image link.
Image Hosting
Open the CRM Menu and navigate to Sample Customer
- Click on the {+} next to Files
- Upload the downloaded file YourLogo.png
- For File Group choose W2P Image
- Click on Save
- Right click on the name of the file and click Copy Link Address*
- The link will be copied to the clipboard
- Navigate to Settings > Online Configuration > Online Ordering > Themes > Charcoal Studio - copy > Footer HTML
- Scroll down to Code Line 28
- Highlight the following text:
- https://support.docketmanager.net/portals/paper-studio/logo2.jpg
- Press Control + V to paste the copied W2p Image link
- Click Save
*When a file is imported a temporary link will be created, please refresh the page you are on before clicking "Copy Link Address"
Street and Email Address
In the Footer HTML section scroll down to Line 34. Adjust the Address in line 34, the Email Address in Line 37, and Phone Numbers in Lines 44 and 45.
Website Link and Credit Card Images
The text "Proudly Powered By DocketManager" and the link that is attached to it can be customized in Line 58.
Credit Card images can be removed from the footer by deleting lines 62 (Visa), 65 (MasterCard), or 68 (American Express). If you would like to update them with different images, follow the image hosting instruction from above and apply it to the corresponding lines shown below.
