Step 1: Create a Quote in your current MIS program
Using the specs below, create a quote using your current pricing methods.
Quote Item 10001 specs:
8.5 x 11 Printed 2up
13 x 19 - 80# Gloss Text*

*Stock can be 13x19 or 12x18.
Step 2: Update Stock in DocketManager
Configuration Settings
- Click on Stock in the Side Navigation Menu Panel.
- Click on 80# Gloss Text - 80 - 13 x 19 - White Gloss.
- Click Actions at the top of the screen and then Edit.
- Adjust the Size if necessary.
Pricing Settings
- In the Pricing section under Price Scales click on the 1 under Quantity Up To.
- Adjust the Cost of the stock to what you pay per 1000 sheets.
- Click Save.
- Scroll down to Printed Markup and click on the 1 under Quantity Up To.
- Adjust the percentage markup to what your desired markup on the stock should be.
- Click Save.
Cutting Settings
- Adjust the Lift Size value to match how many sheets of this stock can fit in your cutter.
- Enter a value for the Cut Cost and Cut Price
Cut Cost is internal and Cut Price is customer facing.
Step 3: Update Quote Pricing
- Navigate to Quotes in the Side Navigation Menu Panel.
- Click on Quote # 1000
- Click on Quote Item # 10001
- Click on the Edit icon to Enable Edit Mode.
- Click Save to update the quote item to reflect the Stock pricing changes.
Step 4: Compare Pricing
Compare the pricing in DocketManager to your current pricing methods for each quantity. Remember this pricing should only include Stock, Cutting, and Click Rates or Hourly Rates on the press.
- Find the dollar amount difference for each quantity.
- Divide the dollar amount difference by the number of clicks for that quantity shown below.
Example
Current pricing total for 100 quantity = $45.00
DocketManager pricing total for 100 quantity = $37.97
Difference of $7.03
$7.03 divided by 110 (the total number of clicks for 100 quantity shown below) = 0.063909

The values above include 5 sheets of waste that were initially built into the Sample Digital Press in your system.
Step 5: Adjust Press Rates
- From the Side Navigation Menu Panel right click to open page in new tab on Settings > Dockets > Press > Sample - Digital Color.
- Scroll down to Pricing > Size Click Scale.
- Click on the corresponding number under Impressions Up To.
- Adjust the Color Price by the difference between your current price and the DocketManager price divided by total clicks for each quantity.
Step 6: Update Quote Pricing
- Select the browser tab that has the quote still open.
- Click Save to update the quote item to reflect the Press Rate changes.
If you did not open a separate tab to adjust Press Rates you can follow these steps to get back to the quote item.
- Navigate to Quotes in the Side Navigation Menu Panel.
- Click on Quote # 1000
- Click on Quote Item # 10001
- Click on the Edit icon to Enable Edit Mode.
- Click Save to update the quote item to reflect the Press Rate changes.
