A Customer Good is an item that you produce for a Customer that you need to keep track of.
Types of Customer Goods
There are 3 different types of Customer Goods:
- Finished Goods - This is a finished customer product.
Example: Standard Envelopes with the company logo.
- Customer Supplied Goods - This is a product supplied by the customer. It usually does not have a price associated. There is an associated customer instead of a replenishment product, as the product is supplied by the customer.
Example: Promotional hats a customer would like included on any order they send.
- Shell Stock - This is an unfinished product and it requires further production/ charges to complete the good.
Example: A Business Card Shell (Master or Base) that is printed and then Imprinted at a later date.
Customer Good Functionality
Customer Goods operate using Products which can be found in Online Ordering > Products.
- Finished Goods - Require a Replenishment and Depletion Product. This can be the same product or two separate products.
- Customer Supplied Goods - Require only a Depletion Product as the replenishment would come from your Customer supplying them to you.
- Shell Stock - Requires a Replenishment and Depletion Product. The Replenishment Product should contain all of the specs for how you replenish inventory and the Depletion should include specs and pricing specific to how you deplete from inventory.
Example: Replenishment - 20up Business Card Shells printed 4/4 Quantity 10,000
Depletion - 20up on Custom Stock (Business Card Shell) 1/0 Quantity 500.
