The Library tab is Online Template Builder’s centralized storage area for font and image files. Fonts and images that you upload in this tab can be accessed by each template in your Online Template Builder account. This eliminates the need to upload the same files to multiple templates. Note: This does not mean that fonts and images uploaded to the library are available to your customers in every template; you control which fonts and images are available for use on a per-template basis. The Library is simply an easy way to upload and store files that will be used by more than one template.  

In the Library Fonts and Library Images sections, upload one or more font or image files to make them accessible to each template. You can select multiple files at once from the dialog box after clicking “Select,” or simply drag and drop files from your computer into the library area. To delete fonts or images from the library, check the box next to them, and click “Delete Selected.”


In the Library Fonts section, you can check the "Show advanced options" box to see options that provide more control on how the fonts are used in a production file. After checking this box, you can select for each uploaded font whether you would like the Encoding to be Unicode or Latin, and whether you would like to embed the full or just the subset needed for the template (or not embed at al). Choosing Unicode or Latin for the Encoding option is dependent on how the font being used is created.


Tip: If the production PDF is displaying the fonts incorrectly, try changing the Encoding to Latin from Unicode. The Embedding option can be set to Embed Full if you are seeing any individual character dropouts on the production PDF.


Once you have uploaded fonts and/or images to the Library, you can enable them on a template-by-template basis. Go to the Assets area of your template, and expand the Fonts, Graphic Files, Background Files, and/or Image Picker Groups sections. Place check marks next to any fonts or images that you would like to allow your customer to use in this template, or click “Check All” to select everything in the Library. Make sure to click the “Save” button for the specific section and Commit Changes in the Field Setup area.
