The CRM > Customer tab can be used: 

  • To search and locate a customer or groups of customers
  • To action a customer
  • To bulk action customers
  • To delete customers
  • To export a customer list


Note: Access to these functions will vary based on the user's security settings.

Searching for a Customer

The customer search can be used to to locate an individual customer or to filter a list of customers for mailing or marketing purposes. 

Note: Clicking on the spyglass icon will toggle the search filter panel to hide or display.

Step    Action  
  1.      Enter or select search criteria.
Customer NameEnter in the full or partial name of the customer in to the Name field.
Customer NumberEnter in the complete Customer Number.

External IdentifierEnter any or all digits of the External Identifier.
Phone NumberEnter any or all digits of the Phone Number.

e.g. If you enter ‘5’, it will bring up all phone numbers that contain a 5. If you enter just the area code ‘519’, it will bring up all the phone numbers that have that area code. 

Email AddressEnter in the full or partial Email Address.


Select an option from one or both of the Assigned drop-down menus.

ZIP/Postal CodeEnter in the full or partial ZIP/Postal Code.
CountrySelect Country from the drop-down menu.
RegionSelect Region from the drop-down menu.
CitySelect City from the drop-down menu.
LetterSelect a letter from from the alpha box below Letter.

Note: As soon as a letter is selected, a search will be done bringing up all Customers whose name starts with the selected letter. Any other search fields with data entered will also be applied to the search.
TagsSelect one or more tags from the drop-down menu.

Note: Utilizing this search criteria will not filter results to find customers with all selected tags. If multiple tags are selected, search will include all customers with at least one of the selected tags.
Last Order DateSelect a Last Order Date using the pop-up calendar.
Customer SinceSelect a Customer Since date using the pop-up calendar.

   2.      Select Search. Results will filter based on the set filters. To clear all 

            search criteria, select {Clear}.

Note: If there is a specific set of search criteria you use often, it's possible to save it in the form of a Smart List for future searches. (See General-Smart Lists)

Customer Actions  

To open the sub-action menu, click on the vertical ellipses for a customer and then select an action from the drop-down.

EditThis opens to Edit Customer modal for this customer. See Customers - Editing a Customer.
Add ContactThis opens the Add Contact modal with the customer preset to this customer. See Contacts - Creating a New Contact
Add a NoteThis opens the New Note modal.
Add a TaskThis opens the New Task modal with Related To field set to this customer.
New OrderThis opens the New Order modal, defaults pre-filled for this customer. 
New QuoteThis opens the New Quote modal, defaults pre-filled for this customer.
New ProductThis opens a new Product Order page.
Print StatementThis prints a statement for this Customer.
Email StatementThis opens the Email modal with an attached Statement .PDF for this customer.
