Tasks are a way to set To Do's for yourself or for other active user's in the system. Tasks can be generic or they can be assigned to orders, quote, items, customers, etc. Any task assigned to an object will show on that object's page i.e. a task assigned to a customer will display on the customer's view page. To make sure all tasks are not lost/forgotten throughout the system, all of a user's incomplete tasks will show on their dashboard.
Searching Tasks
Step Action
1. Select {Settings} and then select {Tasks} under Communications.
2. The search criteria that can be used include:

Customer | Select an option from the Customer field drop-down. |
Due Date | Select a Due Date timeframe from the drop-down or select {Custom Range} to specify a date range using the pop-up calendar. |
Assigned To | Select an option from the Assigned To field drop-down. |
Related To | Select an option from the Related To field drop-down. |
Created By | Select an option from the Created By field drop-down. |
Created Date | Select a Created Date timeframe from the drop-down or select {Custom Range} to specify a date range using pop-up calendar. |
Complete | Complete field default is set to No. Select Yes from drop-down to include completed items in search. |
Completed Date | Select a Completed Date timeframe from the drop-down or select {Custom Range} to specify a date range using pop-up calendar. |
3. Once the search criteria has been entered, select {Search}. To clear all search criteria, select {Clear}.
