The Stock tab displays the stock and stock related details for an item.





Step     Action

  1.       Enable Edit Mode and complete the applicable fields on the Stock tab.

            Notes: 

  • Some fields will systemically calculate/prefill based on the selected job template or product. These values can be overridden, if applicable.  
  • Measurements will appear in imperial or metric depending on the Measurement Unit settings. (See Configuration - Measurement Units)

Add/Change Stock

If the stock needed does not exist, you can create the stock by clicking Stock from the {New} drop-down on the top navigation bar. For more information, see Stock - Adding a Stock - Configuration.)

To Add a Stock:

1.        Select + icon to Add Stock.

An Add Stock modal will open.

       

Notes: 

  • Price column shows the lower quantity price scale (price per/price by).
  • Price Updated column indicates the last time the price table was updated. 
  • Last Used column indicates the most recent order date that the stock was used.

2. Select a stock by checking box on the left-hand side.

3. Select {Add}. A pop-up will confirm stock added to item.          


Once a stock has been added, the stock details can be viewed by hovering mouse over the stock name.


Changing Stock and Additional Actions:

  • The pencil icon allows for you to Change Stock on the item.

Note: Changing to a different size stock will automatically adjust the following:

  • Run size values will update based on the width and length values on the stock
  • If the Parent Size is different than the previous parent size, the Pre-Cut To size values will clear
  • The word bubble icon allows stock name to be customized. 

Note: If this field is being utilized for custom stock, a stock must still be added for the pricing to populate on the item. For more information, see FAQ - How to Use Custom Stock?

  • The X icon allows stock to be deleted.
Price By CartonToggle switch to Yes or No if item is Price By Carton.
OutsourcedToggle switch to Yes or No if item is Outsourced.
Blank StockToggle switch to Yes or No if item is Blank Stock. When set to Yes, the stock quote will be calculated based on the blank stock markup scales instead of printed markup scales.
CostEnter value for stock Cost.
Price PerEnter the Price Per quantity for the stock.
Square/Linear Metres for CostEnter value for Square/Linear Metres for Cost
Square/Linear Metres for PriceEnter value for Square/Linear Metres for Price
Sheets for CostEnter the number of Sheets for Cost.
Sheets for PriceEnter the number of Sheets for Price.
Inventory StatusSelect an Inventory Status option from the drop-down. This is the current status of stock as it relates to inventory.
  • Unallocated - inventory has not been used/reserved for this item and there is no impact to stock levels
  • Pulled - inventory has been used for this item and this will impact available stock levels 
  • Allocated - inventory has been reserved for this item and this will impact available stock levels 
  • Requires Order - inventory is out of stock and needs to be ordered

Note:

  • Inventory Status will automatically be set to Requires Order by the system if there was an attempt to pull/allocate inventory but there was not enough stock available OR if the stock was added to a purchase order using the {Add to PO} button.
  • If Unallocating a stock manually, a save is required before taking any other action.
Add to POThis allows stock to be directly added to a new or existing Purchase Order.

To Add to an Existing PO:
1. Select {Add to PO}. An {Add to PO} modal will open.
2. Select an option from the drop-down.
3. Select {Save}.

To Add to a New PO:
1. Select {Add to PO}. An {Add to PO} modal will open.
2. Select {New}. A {New PO} modal will open.
3. Complete the fields.
PO NumberThis field will populate with the next available PO number. 
SupplierSelect a Supplier from the drop-down.
NotesAdd any additional notes for the PO.
4. Select {Save}. The new PO number will appear in the  Add PO modal.
5. Select {Save}. A pop-up will confirm the Purchase Order item successfully added to purchase order.
Pre Cut OutsEnter the number of sheets that will be created from one (1) parent sheet or simply enter 'Pre Cut To' and then use the imposition calculator.
Pre Cut ToEnter the number of cuts required to change the parent size into the run size.Note: These values may adjust when stock changed on the item
Run SizeEnter the dimensions of the sheet the press is going to print on.
Flat SizeEnter the dimensions of the sheet before folding.
Finish SizeEnter the dimensions of the finished printed work.
UpEnter the number of images on each sheet.
OnEnter the number of different images on each sheet.
ImpositionSelect {Imposition} to open the modal. Complete the fields or make changes as required. 

Note: If changes are made, hit 'Enter' key to see changes updated in the imposition image before saving.

 
There is an imposition image at the bottom of the modal.
To print the Imposition Image:
Select {Print Imposition Image} in the bottom left-hand side corner of the modal. A new tab will open with an editable version of the image. The image can then be edited, downloaded, or printed.
OversEnter quantity of Overs, if applicable.
WasteGenerally Waste would be determined by the Press, but you can override that here.


  2.      Select {Save} option.


Note: If a validation message pops-up stating 'The parent imposition for item #_____ is invalid. Verify the stock size, run size, and Pre Cuts Out are correct,' there is an issue with values entered for stock size, pre cuts, run size, etc.  



e.g. If the stock size is 54x1 and run size is 24x36, logically one cannot fit onto the other. 


The imposition markup will not work if this message appears and the discrepancy between stock/run size values should be addressed before proceeding.
