The following is an example of how to create a 2 Item Group using Quick Add function.


Note: This example will utilize quick add for creating each item but the same basic process would be used if creating the items From Template or From Scratch.


Before an Item can be added, a quote or order must first be created. 


Booklet 8.5x11 with 20 Pages on Digital Press

To create the Booklet, two items will need to be created:

  • Booklet Cover and Booklet Insides


Item 1: Booklet - Cover 

Step     Action

  1.       From the Item table on the order/quote, hover mouse over {New}and select {Quick Add

            from the drop-down. A Quick Add Item modal will open.


  2.       Complete field values with the following:

Stock1. Select {Add Stock}. An Add Stock modal window will open.
2. Select 'Carolina Dig C2S Cover 8pt - 12x18' by checking box on the left-hand side.
3. Select {Add}.
PressSelect 'Digital Color' press from the drop-down.
Run Size12 x 18
Flat Size11 x 17
Finish Size8.5 x 11
On1
Order Due OptionsSelect {5 Days}. All the Due Dates will pre-fill based on the Order Due Option selected.
QuantitiesEnter 500 in Quantity field.

Additional pricing quantities can be added as needed.


  3.      Select {Save}.


Second Item: Booklet - Insides

Step     Action

  1.       From the Item table on the order/quote, hover mouse over {New}and select {Quick Add

            from the drop-down. A Quick Add Item modal will open.


  2.       Complete field values with the following:

Stock1. Select {Add Stock}. An Add Stock modal window will open.
2. Select 'Offset 60lb - 60lb - 11x17 - White - Smooth' by checking box on the left-hand side.
3. Select {Add}.

Order Due OptionsSelect {5 Days}. All the Due Dates will pre-fill based on the Order Due Option selected.

  3.     Select {Save}.


Once both items have been created, the following department item will need to be added to both:


Step     Action

  1.       Select both items by checking boxes to left-hand side of Number column on 

            Items table.


  2.       Select {Bulk Actions} under then {Department Items} from the drop-down. 

            An Add Department Items modal window will open. 

  3.       Select 'Saddle Stitch Machine' by checking box on the left-hand side.


  4.       Select {Add}. A pop-up will confirmed the items have been updated.

This completes the setup for each item and they can now be grouped.


Grouping the Items:

Step     Action

  1.       Select entries 1 and 2 under Items section by checking boxes on the left-hand side


  2.       Select {Group}. A New Item Group modal window will open.

  3.       Complete the fields as follows:

  4.      Select {Save}. A results window will pop up to indicate the items have grouped. 

           The new group will be visible in the Items table.
