If you will be using Gmail to integrate SMTP email with DocketManager, you must use Host Name smtp.gmail.com and Port 587.
Designating an External Mail Server
Step Action
1. Select {Settings} and then select {Integrations} under the Admin section. The Integrations
edit page will open.
2. Complete the following fields under the Email section.
Field | Description |
Host Name | smtp.gmail.com |
Port | Enter the Port: 587 |
Username | Enter your email address. |
Password | Gmail App Password (see step 3) |
SSL | Select to switch SSL to Yes - this is required by Gmail. |
3. Set up an App Password to be used in the credentials above.
To do this, click on the following link which will take you to your Gmail Security Settings: https://myaccount.google.com/security
Step Action
A. Under {Signing In To Google} click {App Passwords}
B. Select {Mail} and then select {Other (Custom Name)}
C. Enter a name for this authorized app password such as DocketManager then click
{Generate}
D. A password will be generated for use with DocketManager. Use this password in the
integration instead of your email password.
4. After adding the Gmail App Password, select {Save}. A window will pop-up to confirm Email settings successfully saved.
• A panel will now appear to allow mail server to be tested.
Testing Mail Server
Test email will use the MIS from Name/Address as the sending mail address and will send the test email to the address provided by the user.
Enter the To Email Address and select {Send}.
