Step 1: Navigate to Department Item Import

  • Click on Settings > Dockets > Department Items > Import tab
  • Click Choose File
  • Locate the file to be imported
  • Select Import



Tips for Formatting Department Items .CSV for Import

The following provides formatting tips when preparing your Department Items .csv for import.


Notes:

  • Column header names must follow the exact same naming scheme as provided in the template file at the bottom of this article or the import upload will fail. 

  • Blank rows are considered empty and skipped by the importer. 

  • It is possible to successfully upload 0 rows of information, as long as all required columns are present, the importer will still “succeed”.

The pricing for a Department Item will display under the selected Department and needs to match one of the selections listed above.

A Lock To is a field or set of fields in a quote or order item that the Department Item pricing is locked to and therefore calculated by. 


Example

Lock To = Quantity - the price per hour / piece will be calculated by the Quantity field of a quote / order item.


Lock To = Total Finished Sheets - the price per hour / piece will be calculated by the Quantity x Sets x Versions x Sheets x Multipart fields of a quote / order item.


A Lock To must exist for a successful import. Lock Tos can be found in Settings > Dockets > Department Items > Lock To tab





Lock To ModifierNo

Input must match either "Multiply By" or "Divide By"


Example

Lock To = Total Finished Sheets but you want to charge for Shrink Wrapping in 250s. The Lock To Modifier would be set to Divide By and in the next field Modifier Amount you would enter 250.

The value that will either be Multiplied or Divided by. In the example above you would enter 250 in this field.

Please note that "Pieces" in Pieces Per Hour is dictated by the "Lock To".
