The Department Item Name can be displayed on Quote / Invoice documents as well as Production Views and is used to differentiate Department Items in the system.

Groups are used to filter Department Item search results in the Department Item table as well as at the Quote / Order Item level.

A Group must exist in the system prior to importing data. 

Groups can be found in Settings > Dockets > General > Department Item Groups.

The pricing table of a quote / order item is made up of 5 static departments; Graphics, Press, Finishing, Outsourced, and Shipping.

The pricing for a Department Item will display under the selected Department and needs to match one of the selections listed above.

The Online Name is displayed in place of the Name field in customer facing Web2Print environments.

A Lock To is a field or set of fields in a quote or order item that the Department Item pricing is locked to and therefore calculated by. 

Example

Lock To = Quantity - the price per hour / piece will be calculated by the Quantity field of a quote / order item.

Lock To = Total Finished Sheets - the price per hour / piece will be calculated by the Quantity x Sets x Versions x Sheets x Multipart fields of a quote / order item.

A Lock To must exist for a successful import. Lock Tos can be found in Settings > Dockets > Department Items > Lock To tab

Input must match either "Multiply By" or "Divide By"

Example

Lock To = Total Finished Sheets but you want to charge for Shrink Wrapping in 250s. The Lock To Modifier would be set to Divide By and in the next field Modifier Amount you would enter 250.

The value that will either be Multiplied or Divided by. In the example above you would enter 250 in this field.

The Quantity field is available when a Lock To is not chosen. This method is used when creating a Static Department Item. Leave Lock To blank and enter a 1 in Quantity. The Price Per Piece will be charged x 1.

Optional description field that can be displayed or hidden on documents and production views.

Here you have the ability to add quantity tiers that will drive flat waste amounts that are needed when this Department Item is present on a quote or an order item.

Please note that if only one row is entered in the table it will be pieces up to and beyond.

The flat set amount of overs needed when this Department Item is present on a quote / order item.

The percent of waste needed based on the Lock To which can be used in combination with Flat Waste or by itself.

This is the number of pieces that you can produce in an hour and will be used to drive the Price Per Hour rate if entered in the Price Per Hour field below. 

If the Price Per Hour field is left blank this field can be used to display production time on documents, production views and reports.

Please note that "Pieces" in Pieces Per Hour is dictated by the "Lock To".

Examples

Lock To = Quantity / Pieces = Quantity

Lock To = Versions / Pieces = Versions

This value is used with Price Per Hour to charge for Setup Time.

A flat fee cost that is used to offset the Setup Price in the next row.

A flat fee that is used either by itself or in addition to Price Per Hour and or Price Per Piece.

This value will be used if the Setup Price, Price Per Hour, and Price Per Piece do not exceed the value entered. This minimum is specific to this Department Item only not the entire quote / order item.
