Tips for Formatting Department Items .CSV for Import
The following provides formatting tips when preparing your Department Items .csv for import.
Notes:
Column header names must follow the exact same naming scheme as provided in the template file at the bottom of this article or the import upload will fail.
Blank rows are considered empty and skipped by the importer.
It is possible to successfully upload 0 rows of information, as long as all required columns are present, the importer will still “succeed”.
Department Item Import File Specifications

Lock To | No | A Lock To is a field or set of fields in a quote or order item that the Department Item pricing is locked to and therefore calculated by. Example Lock To = Quantity - the price per hour / piece will be calculated by the Quantity field of a quote / order item. Lock To = Total Finished Sheets - the price per hour / piece will be calculated by the Quantity x Sets x Versions x Sheets x Multipart fields of a quote / order item. Lock To Modifier | No | Input must match either "Multiply By" or "Divide By" Example Lock To = Total Finished Sheets but you want to charge for Shrink Wrapping in 250s. The Lock To Modifier would be set to Divide By and in the next field Modifier Amount you would enter 250. | No size limit | |

Pieces Per Hour | No | This is the number of pieces that you can produce in an hour and will be used to drive the Price Per Hour rate if entered in the Price Per Hour field below. If the Price Per Hour field is left blank this field can be used to display production time on documents, production views and reports. Please note that "Pieces" in Pieces Per Hour is dictated by the "Lock To". Examples Lock To = Quantity / Pieces = Quantity Lock To = Versions / Pieces = Versions | ||
