check ticket statusA Thumbnail can be added at the item level by uploading image file(s) you want to use. Thumbnails are utilized in:
- The Point of Sale area on a product item
- The product item page on a Portal
- As a {{Thumbnail}} tag in Documents, Canned Emails and Production views
You can upload as many thumbnails as you want and sort them in the order you want for a portal, but the Point of Sale area will only show one image for your thumbnail. Standard image file types apply for thumbnails (.jpg, .png, etc.)
Adding a Thumbnail to a Product Item for use in Point of Sale/Portals
Step Action
1. Select Settings > Products to bring up a list of all the product items available.
2. Use the search filters and table to find the product you want to add thumbnail(s) to.
3. Select the Product by clicking on the product number.
4. Select the {+} button in the Item Files section to Upload a New File. A modal window will open.
5. Leave the Type as "File", select the File Group as "Thumbnail" in the dropdown menu, and
locate your file(s) on your local drive using the upload tool. You can also drag and drop the
file(s) to upload. Select {Save}.
6. You can now see the thumbnail when this product item is used in Point of Sale or on a portal:
If you have more than one thumbnail on a portal, an image slider tool will allow you to select the thumbnail you want and scroll between multiple thumbnails. You can sort the order they scroll in at the item level.
Sorting Thumbnails for use in Portals
Step Action
1. Select Settings > Products to bring up a list of all the product items available.
2. Use the search filters and table to find the product you want to organize thumbnails for.
3. Select the Product by clicking on the product number.
4. Select the {Sort Thumbnails} button in the Thumbnails area. You need to have multiple
thumbnails available to sort:
5. Drag and drop the thumbnails into the sort order you desire. Select {Save}. The thumbnails
will be added to the thumbnail scroll tool on the portal:
