A Perfecting Press is an offset printing press that applies ink to both sides of a sheet of paper during a single pass through the press.
Create a Perfector Press
Navigate to Settings > Dockets > Press
Select New
Next from the Press Formats window select Pefector
Configuration
Press Name
Press Group allows you to filter search results to only show Presses that belong to the same Group.
Stock Feed Type should be set to Specified By Stock so the stock drives the pricing method.
Number of Heads for a 4 color press that can run a 4/4 sheetwise form in 1 pass would be set to 4 heads.

Material Gap is specific to a Web Press setup to
Maximum Side 1 and 2 Colors will determine how many passes are necessary for a print run.
Pricing
Minimum Price is the price of the press that will be charged if it is not exceeded. This is not the minimum price of the entire job, only the press line in a quote or an order.
GL Revenue Account allows you to track this presses revenues to a specific General Ledger account.
Setup Time is specific to the first plate of each pass.
Additional Head Setup Time is the setup time for each additional plate of each pass.
Example: A 4/4 Perfecting job would use the Setup Time value once and the Additional Head Setup Time 3 times to account for setup.
Lift Height and Lift Load Time work in tandem with the Caliper setting at the Stock level to determine how much time is needed to load and reload the press.
Hourly Rate
Unit Selection Type allows you to price the Hourly Rate by Press Sheets or Hours.
The New button will open a New Hourly Rate window with information specific to the Unit Selection Type.

Scale Selection Type allows you to choose between:
Step which is a hard "step" between values and prices with no fluctuation in between values.
Averaged which creates a curve between values and prices.
Run Cost Per Hour is the internal cost to you to run the press. This value will be used against the Price Per Hour to create the markup and profit values in the pricing table.
Plates
Plate Wear is the number of impressions that are allotted per plate before a new set of plates is needed.
Plate Change Time will pull from the Price Per Hour field to add to the price of a job if the Plate Wear value is exceeded.
New allows you to include the Cost and Price of Plates at the Press level. Plates can also be created as Department Items and attached to a Press if you would like to see them broken out as a separate cost and price from the press run in the pricing table of a quote or an order.
Ink Coverage (Per Thousand)
New allows you to enter ink pricing for Light, Average, and Heavy coverages based on the number of Press Sheets required on a print run. Cost is always the internal cost to you and Price is the charge to the customer. Scales can be created to allow for a reduction in the price of ink as the Press Sheets increases.

Aqueous Coating Setup Time will pull from the Price Per Hour field to add to the price of a job if Aqueous Coating is selected.
Aqueous Coating Setup Price is a static value that can be entered to charge for the setup in place of time.
New allows you to enter a Cost and a Price per thousand sheets based on a number of Press Sheets Up To.

Scale Selection Type allows for Step vs Averaged.
New opens a window where you can enter the Number of Press Sheets, Impressions Per Hour, and specify if this scale applies to All Sizes or specific sizes.
Ink Coverage Speed Modifier - (Per Thousand)
This feature allows you to decrease the press speed for certain types of Ink Coverage selections.
New will open a window allowing you to enter Press Sheets Up To, Ink Coverage, and a Speed Change %.
Waste
Calculate Per Head will apply the waste amounts to each plate needed on a print run. If this setting is set to No the waste amounts will be a flat amount regardless of how many plates or forms that are needed on a print run.
New allows you to enter Flat Waste and a Percentage based on a number of Press Sheets Up To. Please note that if Calculate Per Head is toggled to Yes the Flat Waste and Percentage values will be multiplied by the number of plates on a print run.
Department Items
New will allow you to add default Department Items to this press. These Department Items will be added automatically when the press is selected on a quote or an order item.
Notes
To add a Note to this press click on the + icon on the right. Notes can be static or marked as Sticky which will apply them to items that utilize this press.
