Offset Press

• Select Settings from the Navigation Menu Panel.
• Under Dockets select Press.
• Click on Sample - Offset 4 Color

The basic settings for a 4 Color offset press are shown in the screenshots below.

Use the Tool Tip icons (i) to help guide you through the fields in each section.

Configuration

Within Configuration a Name, Press Group, Stock Feed Type, and Number of Heads are required fields. If you scroll down the page you will also see Maximum Side 1 and 2 Colors.

Pricing

The basic pricing settings for an Offset Press are shown below.

• Setup Time - First plate setup time for each pass.
• Additional Head Setup Time - Setup time for each additional plate of each pass.
• Work Turn Side 2 Setup Time - Setup time for the second side of a Work / Turn - Work / Tumble.
• Hourly Rate > Price Per Hour
• Plates

Production

The Production settings allow you to set press speeds based on Impressions Per Hour. This setting can be scaled to allow for faster speeds as the number of Press Sheets increases. Press Waste is preset to 50 sheets of Flat Waste and is Calculated Per Head which translates to 50 sheets for each color (4 color = 200 sheets of waste).

Department Items

Default charges such as Proofs and Preflight can be added to Presses to save time when creating quotes and orders. When a press is chosen the Department Items will automatically be added.

Notes

Internal Notes can be added to Presses to provide information to you and your team as to how the press is setup or how it should be utilized.
