There are a couple of ways a stock can be added to DocketManager.
- Inventory > Stock > New
- New (Quick Add) > Stock
The first step for creating the new stock, regardless of the way in which you are creating them, will be the opening of a New Stock modal.
Note: Calculations will be based on imperial or metric system depending on the Measurement Unit
settings. (See Configuration - Measurement Units)
Field | Description | |
Name | Enter name of stock. This is the name of the Stock that will be displayed throughout the system. | |
Supplier | Select a Supplier for this stock from the drop-down menu or click on the + icon to add a new supplier. Note: These options can be modified. (See Dockets - Supplier ) | |
Supplier Code | Enter the Supplier Code. This is the unique identifier used to identify the Supply when ordering from the Supplier. | |
Weight | Select a Weight from the from the drop-down or click on the + icon to add a new weight. | |
Size | Select a Size from the from the drop-down or click on the + icon to add a new weight. This is the Parent Size of the Stock. For Wide Format Roll Stocks leave the Length field blank and the system will auto calculate this value for you on quotes and order items.. | |
Color | Select a Color from the from the drop-down or click on the + icon to add a new weight. | |
Finish | Select a Finish from the from the drop-down or click on the + icon to add a new weight. | |
Tags | Select one or more Tags from the drop-down menu. To add a customized tag, manually type the tag and hit enter. Note: These options can be modified. (See Stock - Tag) | |
Price By | Select Price By from the drop-down menu. Stock can be priced by: piece, linear feet, square feet, or weight. | |
Round Sheets | Enter in the percentage you want to round the nearest sheets to or leave as default value. Default set to 100%. | |
Lift Size | This is the number of sheets for this Stock that can fit in one lift for cutting. | |
Cut Cost | This is the cost per Cut to cut this Stock. | |
Cut Price | This is the price per Cut to cut this Stock. | |
Multipart | This is the number of parts this Stock is comprised of. | |
M Weight | This is the MWeight for this particular size of Stock. | |
Caliper | Enter the Caliper for the stock. Caliper refers to the approximate thickness of a single sheet of paper as expressed in thousandths of an inch. It will be used to calculate press lift height. Usage: The approximate caliper of a single sheet for papers of various grades and basis weights. | |
GSM | Enter the GSM for the stock. | |
Package Quantity | This is the default setting that will populate when this Stock is added to a Quote/Order/Product item. If set to yes, the Sheets for Price value will calculate up to the next full package quantity, if set to no, the Sheets for Price value will calculate the actual number of sheets needed. Enter the Package Quantity for the stock. This is how many items are in one package or carton. | |
Price By Carton | Default set to No. Toggle switch to Yes if stock is priced by carton. | |
Inventory Warning | Toggle switch to YES to activate Inventory Warning. This results in a pop-up warning of no stock and prevents posting on items with no stock to pull. | |
Location | Enter a description of where the stock is physically located in your facility. | |
Minimum Level | This is the minimum level you want on hand before reordering. | |
Price Per | Enter the Price Per quantity for the stock. This is the number of items your cost is based off. | |
Online Name | Enter Online Name for stock. This is the friendly name that can display online when offering different Product Attributes. | |
GL Revenue Account | This selection is the GL Account the value of this Stock will be assigned to. Note: These options can be modified. (See Accounting - GL Accounts) | |
Pricing | This can be one or more scales of cost depending if the stock has tiered pricing.

Markups | This can be one or more scales that will be used to markup the cost of printed or blank Stock. For more information, see Stock-Markups. |
Stock Configuration information can be saved by selecting {Save} at bottom right corner of the modal window. A Stock view page will open. The page will now show the name of the new Stock.
