Shell Stock is an unfinished product and requires further production to complete the good.
Notes:
- The replenishment and depletion products on a customer good will be based off of products. For more information on creating products, see Products - Adding a New Product.
- Versions cannot be used with customer goods as item will not allocate correctly.
- Shell Stock depletion products do not require a stock. A blue band imposition message will appear if stock is left blank but the message can be disregarded. If you would prefer not to have the message appear, a stock can be added and then marked as outsourced. This will prevent the stock from being added to the price of the depletion. The stock will not be allocated when a depletion order is placed using the shell stock.
Creating Shell Stock:
To create a shell stock, see Customer Goods - Adding New Customer Goods.
Replenishment
When first created, a manual Replenish option will be available. This allows for an initial replenishment to add any on-hand goods to the inventory.
Step Action
1. From the Customer Good view page, hover the mouse over the Actions menu and then select
{Replenish} from the drop-down. A Create Replenish modal will open.
2. Complete the fields entering a quantity value and price value.
Note: The Quantity and Price fields cannot be left blank. If there is no price, enter 0.
3. Select {Save}. The Manual Replenishment will appear in the Inventory table.
Once the initial replenishment is done, the option will no longer be available from the actions menu. Replenishment will need to be done using the replenishment product added during customer good creation. If there is no replenishment product, one must be added.
To Add/Edit a Replenishment Product:
Step Action
1. From the Customer Good view page, hover the mouse over the Actions menu and then select
{Edit} from the drop-down. An Edit Customer Good modal will open.
2. Select the pencil icon. An Add Product modal will open.
3. Select {Add}. The product name will appear in the Replenishment Product field of the modal.
4. Select {Save}. A results window will confirm the customer goods have been saved. The replenishment product will now appear under Details on the Customer Goods view page.
Once the replenishment product has been added, the customer good will replenish whenever the product is used on an order. Only one replenishment product can be added to a customer good.
Depletion
A depletion product must first be added to the customer supplied good.
To Add a Depletion Product:
Step Action
1. Select {Add} under Depletion Products section. An Add Product modal will open.
2. Check boxes to the left-hand side of Product name to select item to be added.
3. Select {Add}. The item will appear in the Depletion Products table.
Once the depletion product has been added, the customer good will deplete whenever the product is used on an order. Multiple depletion products can be added to a customer good.
For more information, see Customer Goods - Depletion.
