When multiple stock need updating, it is sometimes more effective to use a stock export/import instead of bulk actions. An export file is used as a base for making changes to the existing stock. The file is then imported back into DocketManager to update stock.
To Export Stock:
Step Action
1. Select {Inventory}. The page should open on the Stock tab.
2. Apply any filters, if applicable, and select {Search}
3. Select {Export} under Stock.
Once the stock file has been exported, desired stock changes can be made to the file. These changes will update on each stock when the file is imported back into DocketManager.
To Import the Stock File back into DocketManager:
Step Action
1. Select {Settings} and then select {Stock} under Dockets. Select the {Stock Import} tab.
2. Select a {Choose File} option. The choice will depend on the information you are trying
to update using this import.
Import Option | Description |
Stock CSV | This option should be chosen when updating stock information other than pricing and inventory levels. |
Stock Price CSV | This option should be chosen when updating stock pricing. |
Stock Inventory Level CSV | This option should be chosen when updating on-hand inventory levels. Note: Stock Inventory Level CSV Import will only update On-Hand column so this option cannot be used to update any other stock information. |
A File Upload modal window will open.
3. Locate file on computer to be imported and select {Open}. The name of the file to
be opened will appear to the right of the {Choose File} button
4. Select {Import}. A results window will pop-up to confirm records imported
successfully.
