Let's break down all the different properties you can adjust on the right hand side of the designer app. If you just select the design, you will see Page properties on the right, but if you select an element of your design, like a text box, you will see tabs for Design and Behavior on the right. There are a large number of things you can adjust, so let's look at the details:

Alignment: Select the appropriate symbol to align according to the left hand side, vertical center line, right hand side, top, horizontal center line, or bottom. X/Y/W/H/R: Adjust values for X/Y position, width, height, and rotation angle. Click the lock icon to constrain proportions. | |
Point: If the text field is set to point type, it will not be constrained to the bounds of a text box and the data in the field will determine the size. Area: When set to an area text field, the text box will not expand or contract based on the text and the text will wrap when reaching the right margin of the box. Arched: The arched type tool allows you to arch text and set the degree of the bend. Font: Select your font, font styling and font size. (Fonts must be uploaded into the Fonts section of Customer's Canvas before using them on a design) Font/line spacing: Adjust the space between each character and adjust the space between each line of text. Text Color: Select the button to adjust the font accordingly. CMYK or spot colors can be used for text and vector objects. Toggle from the Process tab to the Spot tab to select or add a spot color. (Note: any images or PDFs uploaded to the design will be converted to CMYK upon upload. Only InDesign or Photoshop files with vector objects will retain spot colors upon upload) Edit Text: Adjust the text or use html coding to format the styling. Justification: Select left, center or center justification. Position: Select top, middle, or bottom horizontal position within the text box. Bold/Italic/Underline: Select the button to adjust the font accordingly. All Caps/Small Caps: Select the button to adjust the font accordingly. Horizontal/Vertical scale: Stretch or compress the text on the horizontal or vertical axis. First baseline offset/min offset: Adjust baseline settings using the dropdown. Baseline shift: Shift the text above or below the horizontal baseline of the text box. | |
Fill color: Select the fill color of the text box with the color picker. CMYK or spot colors can be used for text and vector objects. Color: Select the color of the border for the text box. CMYK or spot colors can be used for text and vector objects. Toggle from the Process tab to the Spot tab to select or add a spot color. Alternative border color toggle: Toggle on to create an alterative border color. | |
Opacity: Adjust the percentage of opacity for the selected element. Blending mode: Select different blending options from the dropdown to apply the desired effect. (Darken, lighten, etc.) | |
Wrapping margin: Adjust the value for when text will begin to wrap to the next line. Text wrapping: Select different wrapping options from the dropdown to apply the desired effect. (None, square, tight) | |
Stroke toggle: Applies stroke (border around text) to the text. Adding 0.1" stroke to regular text would be about the same as selecting the “bold” version. Adjust the color and size to achieve the desired effect. | |
Overprint toggles: Apply overprint fill, text, and stroke effects. (Lets you set the color of something to mix with colors underneath) |
