DocketManager allows you to keep track of Stocks, Customer Goods, and Supplies. This article will break down each of these options as well as demonstrate the PO functionality.

Stocks

In DocketManager stocks are any substrate that you print directly onto. Lamination and Rigid substrates that you mount to should be entered as Department Items due to the fact that you can only have on Stock per order / quote item. 

Create a Stock

• From the Side Navigation Menu select Inventory.
• The first tab that opens up is Stocks.
• Click New.
• Fill out the fields and click Save.

Supplies

In DocketManager Supplies are items that are required for a job but are not necessarily billed for. (i.e. Coil Bindings or Boxes). These items can be connected to department items to create depletion records and track usage.

Create a Supply

• From the Side Navigation Menu select Inventory.
• Click on the Supplies tab.
• Click New.
• Fill out the fields and click Save.

Purchase Order

In DocketManager Supplies are items that are required for a job but are not necessarily billed for. (i.e. Coil Bindings or Boxes). These items can be connected to department items to create depletion records and track usage.

Create a PO

• From the Side Navigation Menu select Inventory.
• Click on the PO tab.
• Click New.
• Stocks and or Supplies can be added to the PO.
• Click on the Actions menu to Print or Email the PO.

Customer Goods

There are 3 different types of Customer Goods: 

• Finished Goods - This is a finished customer product.   

Example: Standard Envelopes with the company logo.

• Customer Supplied Goods - This is a product supplied by the customer. It usually does not have a price associated. There is an associated customer instead of a replenishment product, as the product is supplied by the customer. 

Example: Promotional hats a customer would like included on any order they send.

• Shell Stock - This is an unfinished product and it requires further production to complete the good. 

Example: A partially printed background on a business card that will have the individual card details printed on at a later date.
